Fred Millard Stancell

Fred Millard Stancell, 63, died Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville, NC.

Fred was born in Halifax County, June 3, 1956, son to the late Robert Taft Stancell and Doris Adams Stancell. He was an avid sportsman and was a retired fireman having served with the Weldon Volunteer Fire Department.

Surviving are his wife, Jennifer Stancell of the home; sister, Linda Andrews and husband, Vernon; brother, George Stancell and wife, Laurie, both of Rocky Mount; sister-in-law, Robbie Bridgers and husband, Steve; brother-in-law, Bobby Warrick and mother-in-law, Jewel Britt, all of Conway, NC; nieces and nephews, Kristey Langley and husband, Adam, Jessica Taylor and husband, Mason, Joshua Bridgers, Jonathan Arnold, Trevor Warrick, Corrie Harrison and husband, Bill, Cassie Stancell and Meghan Stancell; the extended family from Weldon, who all grew up together, the Wells Family; three dear and close friends, Craig Johnson, Stuart Johnson and Ellitott Stephenson. Also surviving are many great nieces and great nephews.

The family will receive friends Thursday, January 23, 2020 at the Bethany Civic Center on HWY 35, Conway, NC, from 2-3:15 pm. A graveside service will be held in Milwaukee Cemetery beginning at 3:30 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested as a memorial donation that you extend a kind act toward someone, "pay it forward" if you will….
